How easy/difficult is it to learn to operate a Pfaff Creative Vision sewing machine?
If you own one, please let me know how long it took before you could sew well enough to mend something or sew well enough to use it for embroidery and/or quilting. Does it jam up a lot? What type of problems did you have? Are you happy you bought it or do you wish you had not? What type of thread do you prefer using. Any tips or ideas would be very much appreciated. Its a huge investment. Thank you.
How lucky can you get to own a Pfaff machine of any kind!! Your instruction booklet that came with it should be lots of help, if not, go to your nearest Pfaff dealer and I'm sure someone there will be more than glad to help you.
As far as I'm concerned Pfaff makes the best sewing machines that have ever been made! If you decide you do not want this machine, please just mail it to me and make sure they bubble wrap it very well, and double box it so nothing will get broken! ....smile...Most things are not learned in leaps and bounds, but in little itsy, bitsy, baby steps.... so just get out that instruction booklet and learn a little bit about your marvelous machine each day until you are fully acquainted with it. A Pfaff should not jam up if it is threaded properly and you are using the correct kind of thread for the fabric you are using and the type of sewing you are doing...such as straight sewing or embroidery. Use whatever thread your instruction booklet says to use or what your pattern says to use. Sometimes it's best to use the same kind of thread on the bobbin and for the top stitching. Also do a search on the internet for tips on all types of sewing, machine embroidery, and for recommendations for all thread types. Hope I've helped at least a little.
