How to make patchwork which I used a sewing machine for.
I have a Bablylock Ellure sewing machine. Can I save files to a blank card? How?
This machine is about 5 years old, but I have not used it for machine embroidery - would like to learn how - I have not had much luck finding embroidery cards so was wondering if all are now downloaded and saved to a blank disk - would love some help!

If this is the model you have - http://www.babylock.com/embroidery/ellure/ you need to use a memory card.
You can purchase a reader/writer unit with a rewritable memory card in the .pes format.*
Create a folder on the hard drive of your PC and name it embroidery files.
Then download designs from the Internet (thousands are free). The file/design will most likely be compressed/zipped and will have to be opened/extracted. The opened/extracted file is what you will use and you can delete the original download.
Review your manual for hoop size as this it the maximum design size the embroidery machine will recognize. Anything larger will not open.
There will be software with the reader/writer unit*. Install and follow the instructions for finding designs in your folder and copying them to the rewritable memory card. The designs remain in the folder and only copies are sent to the card, overwriting any previous designs on the card.
