bug sting - should I go to the hospital?
Yesterday I was walking in the park and something hurt my foot.
I took the stinger out. It's not a hornet since they don't leave singers, and its not a bee because the stinger was very small and red.
Shortly afterwards I sat down because it felt like my flesh was melting off. I couldn't walk at all or even move my foot.
Finally it started to get better, and today its even worse.
I had to miss school because my foot has swelled up like a balloon and I can't walk.
When I do try to walk I have to walk on the side of my foot. When I'm standing up it feels like all the blood is going to my foot and it hurts really bad.
should I go to the hospital?
I have no idea what it was that stung me.
Yes, it wouldn't hurt to see what stung you and if it was poisonous. The swelling and pain seems like the stinger left something venomous or it infected. Sometimes people have an allergic reaction to any bite and that is worth looking into an answer from a professional at the emergency center.
