What function or setting do I use on my baby lock Esante sewing machine?
I bought this used Esante just 2 days ago..mostly for the function of doing quilts, and stippling...and for the life of me, I just cant seem to figure out how to set it to do the stippling..I have classes on it, but not for 3 more weeks. Can anyone who owns the Esante give me some advice or a quick how to.,..or what I need to do just to do basic stippling and quilting...Please Please Please! I keep buying and returning machines because non of them seem to do what I need them to do.

Some of the newer sewing machines have a built-in stippling stitch and then there is free-motion stitching which allows you to create your own design/style of stitching.
The instruction manual has the steps for using the built-in stitch.

You will need to lower the feed-dog, use a straight stitch and a free-motion or darning foot.
I wear quilter's gloves to help me to better control the fabric.

OK. Here is the problem. I REALLY want a singer Futura embroidery/sewing machine, but I have a macbook. It says it only runs with window based PCs. ALL of our computers are macs. Any solutions or ideas for other machines in the same price range with the same concept (plugs into computer for designs) or does it actually work with macs.
P.S. I dont have leopard so I cant install windows using boot camp
I have the Futura CE-200 I don't recall hearing about that at all. I got an hp with vista ,which in itself is a new game we were going to just purchase a used hp for my machine. But if you do alot of embroidering than purchasing a new inexpensive laptop would be the way to go, or put it on your wish list for a special gift. I have been very happy with what I got and have learn more about computers and my Futura and its capabilities.Your other bet is to call Singer directly and they I have found are very helpful and will answer any question. Having an issue quilting with a Brother sewing machine?
I have a Brother sewing machine and I am beginning to quilt with it. The lower thread is coming through the fabric distorting the design. I have tried adjusting the tension but Iam not sure what I am doing. Any suggestions?
From what you're describing, it does sound like a tension issue, and I know how frustrating that is to get right :-p I'm guessing your manual is not helping very much, or you don't have one...There is support help on the Brother site, maybe you can find what you need there....good luck....susan
