Winding the bobbin on a Singer 66 treadle sewing machine
Helo! How do I make a new bobbin for my singer simple sewing machine?
I can't find the manual and I am on a deadline to make a costume. I have the bobbin threaded but can't figure out how to make it wind!
I think you have your terms mixed up. You wind a bobbin by having the machine wrap thread around it. Once the bobbin is wound you put it into the bobbin case and then into the machine. Most newer models of machines, the wound bobbin can go right into the machine.
If you are having trouble winding the bobbin, you may have the first wrap of thread going the wrong way on the bobbin, so the bobbin unwinds when you start the machine. or you may have to push the bobbin winder holder over for it to engage the bobbin to wind.
