Which brand of serger to buy?
I used to have a 5 thread Singer serger. I didnt like it. Too much to work with. Im looking for a simplier serger. 3 or 4 thread that only uses 2 needles, not 5 needles. I kept looking at the Brother ones. Juki? What?
My suggestion is this:Buy one you can afford, after seeing different types. Test them in the shop before moving to other ones.
My choice would be a 4 threader Bernina serger, preferably the differential feed type, so you can do the rolled hemming. Instruction book is a must.
I have moved onto an industrial 5 threader overlocker/serger. The speed is better for me, but I did get it slowed down for me when purchased.
