Your problem most likely is on the touch pad. Have you had your machine serviced on a regular basis at a qualified Viking dealer? If not, get it there as soon as you can. If so, they should have picked up on this problem and either re-calibrated the electronics. You don't indicate the model of your machine. If it has a simple membrane (opaque buttons) for the patterns, the problem may lie in the switches themselves. If, however, you have a touch-screen, you can go into the service mode yourself and recalibrate the screen.
