Where can I find a manual for this sewing machine?
It's an old Janome machine. It has model number "656001454" on the back. It's like this one.

You need the manual. The number you're quoting is the serial number, I believe; the machine looks like it was made in the 1970-2000 time frame.
I'd suggest asking Janome what model you've got OR looking through the diagrams at sites like http://www.sewusa.com for Janomes similar in appearance to yours, or taking it in to a local sewing machine shop that does repairs and asking them to get you the proper manual for the machine.
