What is a good serger sewing machine?
I am starting a business sewing diapers, wipes, fleece diaper covers, fleece pants and various other baby related items. I have a Brother Runway Edition Sewing machine that I got from Walmart for around $140 and it works well. But I want to get a serger. The problem is that I know really nothing about them so I don't know which one to get. I only have about $300 to spend on one right now. I know that they go up a lot higher than that, but that is really all I can spend right now. In the future I hope to get a more expensive one. Any suggestions on where to get one, a specific brand or model?
There is one at Walmart for $200 it is a Singer. I was thinking about getting this one, but I am unsure because I have heard mixed reviews.
Oh and just to add, there is no place around here to buy a used machine.

I am fond of Juki sergers. I have a four thread mechanical machine that does its job consistently. It's the Juki MO654 DE. It's only been the shop once, when I knocked the timing out of whack. Juki also makes industrial machines and my experience as a technician is that they spend little time in the repair shop. I found mine on E-bay. It was brand new and drop shipped from the manufacturer.
Eventually, you're going to need an industrial machine. They are designed for production work such as you describe in your question. Be sure to keep your machine clean and lubricated. Fleece and flannel can produce copious amounts of lint and that makes any sewing machine grumpy.
