How to wash a vintage quilt?
It is light, and from the 60's. It is a pastel color, mostly green and white. It is very difficult because some fall decorations. But I have to wash, because I was making my bed and cut my fingers without realizing it and bled on my quilt in several places. "I can washed and dried in conventional machine, or I have to do this in a special way?
If you insist your quilt, do not throw in the washer. If you have a quilt shop in your town, take the blanket with you if you know someone who could fix it before trying to attempt to wash. Then see if they sell something called "Orvis quilt mass. "This is very concentrated so use a little. If the quilt is fragile, just soak in the tub with cold water with dissolved Orvis first. a Torsion-free water flows. To dry, hang on the cover (no direct sun) or flat, with a blade on each side of it. Put your blood, you may have to soak for a while or gently rub some cream in Orvis.
