Lame and polyester fabric? please, urgency!?
I am doing a GCSE in textiles and i am going to use the fabrics Lame and Polyester for my design, i need to know the properties of either fabric and why i would use it for a beach effect?

Run away from lame if at all possible... tissue lame, quilters lame, regular lame -- they're all a PITA to sew. Generally metallic coated polyester or nylon wovens. They tend to run when sewn or indulge in seam slippage.
Polyester is a fiber, not a fabric... you can have polyester velvets, polyester broadcloth, polyester jersey....
What sort of polyester do you intend to use? It comes in many, many variants, with various properties like wicking or non-wicking, flame retardant, etc. Unless you're doing a decorative wall hanging, I don't associate lame or polyester fabrics with a beach, speaking just for myself...
