Help with sewing machine settings?
I have a brother xl2610 sewing machine and I am absolutely confused with it. =( I am used to the older ones and the settings on this one just confuse me. I have no manual to read, as it was used and given second hand.
I would really appreciate if someone could help me figure out what each setting controls. Or at least tell me how to set it back on your standard stitch, heh. At the moment it's stitching extremely small and tight.
I would appreciate any help and apologize for sounding so idiotic asking a question like this.
the machine is pretty easy once you are shown 
Sounds like you have no length. So- start from the beginning- the stitch selector is the big dial on the front, set that on the straight stitch , should be stitch number 2 (from memory). there should be a grey dial behind the big one, have that set at 2 and a half.
The dial on the top left is your tension, have that set between 4 and 5. That's basically it. try that. I can help if you have more questions.
