Brother® XL3750 I just placed an order at target.com for this sewing machine and it was 99.00, 122.00 with shipping and handling. It was the best price deal out of overstock.com, target.com, walmart.com, and amazon.com...
I read the reviews of this machine on these several websites and they all seemed pretty good, 4 and 5 star majority only very few negative comments..
Does anybody have experience with this model or know if it is good for just a beginner sewer? I'd like to make some tote bags, pillow cases, and alter basic every day clothing.

All Brother Machines are good..I had a Singer Touch/ Sew for years.. Now I have 2 Bros...A PE-150,which is a computerized embry. and a NX-400,which is also a computerized basic with a lot of stitches...And I love 'em both..Yes, your's will be good for a beginner..If you'll buy or subscribe to Sew News or Sewing Savy, they'll help you a lot with projects and ideas,etc..And always have updates on sewing machines..Enjoy your new interest..
