Brother CS6000I 60-Stitch
brother sewing machine thread keep getting jammed?
I recently bought a brother sewing machine cs6000i. I was using it just fine for the past 3 days and today I am facing the same problem for the past 6 hours or so.
The first thing that happened was that the lower thread was not picked up by the upper thread.
So I cleaned up everything-everything that the manual said. I tried a new needle, new thread, followed the instruction to do everything.
But then the upper thread was picking up the lower thread but it was jammed underneath the needle plate. I opened up to see what's happening.
I am not really sure what's supposed to happen but what I see is that the upper thread is not really going around the race because of the spring (all around bobbin case) I wish I can show the picture I took.
Instead of going around the race when the needle is pressed down, it is stuck at where the spring is. What should I do? I really want this thing to work..so frustrating..
When cleaning a drop-in bobbin area it is best to remove the throat place as thread tangles can not always be detected by just removing the bobbin and bobbin case.
Turn off the power when doing this.
Check the maintenance section of your manual.
Always raise the needle to it's highest position when removing or replacing the bobbin case (drop-in).
The upper thread not connecting with the bobbin thread usually means the needle is in backwards.
The flat side of the needle shaft faces the back of the machine.
Thread the needle from the front as the groove on the front of the needle helps guide the thread to the eye of the needle to form a proper stitch.
Make sure to always thread the machine with the presser foot up.
Check the bobbin to be sure the thread is feeding from the bobbin spool in the correct direction and through the guide on the side of the bobbin case.
